We had the pleasure of interviewing our attorney BOSS Teta L. Jackson Esquire located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Let’s see what she has to say!

Tell us about yourself!

I am the Managing Attorney of The Law Office of Teta L. Jackson, PLLC; a law firm that focuses on handling real estate matters. I am a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, but I call Fayetteville, North Carolina my home. I have a passion for real estate and I’ve worked in various areas of the industry since 2001. I began my real estate career as a home investor, transitioned into the mortgage industry, and eventually became a licensed realtor. As I progressed in my career, my love for real estate expanded to include the law and its application to parties involved in real estate transactions. After participating in numerous closings and helping many to achieve their goal of homeownership, I knew that practicing real estate law would be my next career goal.

In August of 2012, I took the leap and began law school. I graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law in May of 2015 with a Juris Doctorate degree. Having accomplished my goal, I began handling all aspects of real estate matters including title searches, title reviews, and facilitating real estate closings just to name a few.

I am also an author and founder of Empowering To Be, an empowerment company established to help women of all ages conquer their fears and accomplish their dreams. My life's goal is to encourage everyone to BE who they were born into this world to be. My mantra is, “if you're breathing, you're living, which means it's not too late to become whatever your heart desires."

What is your profession? What do you do as an entrepreneur?

I absolutely love real estate and encouraging others to BE who they were born on the earth to BE!

Who or what is your number one motivator and why?

Although she is no longer with me, my mother is my number one motivator. I lost my mother to cancer in November of 2018. When she passed away, my mom had so many dreams and desires that she wanted to accomplish before she left this world, and unfortunately the majority of them she did not complete. I think about how gifted she was and how the world never experienced all of who she was and all of what she had in her to share. Because of this, it pushes me to pour out every gift, talent, and ability that I was born into the earth to give to others. My mom pushes me to leave the earth empty and devoid of everything I have within.

If you can name one person that helped you get to where you are now, who would that person be and how did they help you get to where you are?

I can't name one person alone. Throughout my journey, I have received a helping hand from so many people. To name one person would not be a true representation of the path I have taken to get to where I am today and where I will be tomorrow or even the next day.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Free time? Who has that?! If ever I get time to just stop, I rest first. It's so important to stop and recharge. After, I may do some shopping or try to find some water (pool or beach) to relax and just recoup.
