We had the pleasure of interviewing a classy, yet spontaneous BOSS located in Durham, North Carolina! Let’s see what this boss has to say!
Tell us about yourself!
I’m originally from Murfreesboro, North Carolina and I’ve been a resident of Durham, North Carolina for quite some time. I earned my bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from North Carolina Central University (NCCU); eagle pride exemplified. I like to think of myself as learning to live my best life out loud. I have an amazing family and business partners. I’m a fabulous auntie to several nieces and nephews (Rich Auntie Club, lol). I’m passionate about working on improving myself in all areas of my life. I think self-improvement should be a lifelong journey and I’m here for it. I enjoy good in-depth meaningful conversations that help people because I’m not big on small talk.

I enjoy traveling, shopping (there is nothing like something new), good food, great music, and all things luxury. I’ll put on a whole concert in my apartment, but mind you, I cannot sing or dance well, but I sometimes do it anyway lol. I must add business in here as well. I’ve always been passionate about business. I’ve had a successful career in Corporate America since 2009, where I’ve been promoted and recognized for outstanding performance on multiple occasions. True story, I have literally been dreaming about being a successful business professional and entrepreneur since I was a little girl. I always knew I wanted to be my own boss. I truly feel like I can inspire people who may have thought they don’t stand a chance to step into their destiny and be who they feel they have been called to be.
However, experience has taught me that the only way to truly inspire people is to be “the” example. In 2016, my journey as an entrepreneur officially began with event coordinating and consulting, which led to me operating a travel business; and in turn, led to one of my biggest passions, my health business: Premier Health with Tam. Now don’t get me wrong, I love all my businesses and take pride in the fact they are all designed to truly help people while giving them the royal treatment they deserve. But, I must say I have a special place in my heart for Premier Health with Tam. This business really takes me and my customers back to the basics of proper nutrition, which is a key fundament in living a longer healthier life. The goal is to be successful and live our best life. But in order to be able to enjoy the fruits of our labor, we must prioritize our health, now. So, I think this is the reason why this business is so special to me because I can’t think of of a better way to help other people.

Why did you choose the profession you are in?
Self-improvement, breaking generational curses, and being successful in creating the life I desire for myself is my number one motivator. I know if I can do these things, then I can surely reach more people and inspire them to do the same for themselves. I want to be the last of the “get it out of the mud generation” and start creating real legacies for future generations. I do this for my people, that's what keeps me going.
Who or what is your number one motivator and why?

What do you like to do in your free time?
Have long conversations with people about life, shop, sometimes I just love to have some me time with a movie and something good to eat.
If you can name one person that helped you get to where you are now, who would that person be and how did they help you?
There are so many people so this one is hard. But if I have to choose one person to highlight during this time I would have to say, my Daddy. I credit him with planting the seed of dreaming big, having a vision, and continuously reminding me that nothing is off limits. I didn't grow up with a lot of people around with this mindset, so my Daddy planting that seed (thankful it flourished), really helped me to eventually get on this entrepreneurial track and stay on it. There were periods of time when I didn't have many people around to help nourish those dreams and visions of achieving something great, but that didn't matter because my Daddy had already helped me establish a strong foundation when I was young. My Daddy taught me I was never meant to be average and I thank God that I listened and believed him. Now he has a whole Queen on his hands!
