Tell us about yourself!

My name is Sharika Nealy. I have been with my amazing husband, Ron, for 26 years. I am blessed to have two amazing children named Ronald III, better known as Tre, and Sha'Ron. I have added two incredible titles under my belt in the last 4 years; "nana" to my bonus grandson & mother-in-law to my son-in-law, Issac. I am from a very small town called Heath Springs, South Carolina. I was raised by my beloved parents, Patricia & bonus dad James Thompson, who are now both deceased. The memories and drive my parents instilled inside me are the driving force behind my business.

I have been a licensed and successful realtor for 3 years, but it was not always the pretty picture you see realtors post on social media. I am a true example of "it's another side of through, you just have to keep moving to reach it." When my mother passed away on June 15, 2016, I went into a deep depression and real estate was the farthest thing from my mind. One morning, I heard my mother's voice and the promise I made to her that I would chase my dream. That day, my mindset changed. On September 18th, I started my career as a licensed realtor in North Carolina and South Carolina.

What is your profession? What do you do as an entrepreneur?

I am a real estate agent licensed in NC and SC.

Why did you choose the profession you are in?

I have found great success as a realtor by helping change so many lives through homeownership. I was classified as a capper in my first year of real estate, which meant I was a top-producing agent. I have been able to keep that level of success thanks to my referrals and repeat clients.

The goal for Nealy Homes is to continue to grow and educate the community on homeownership by using real estate as leverage for wealth building, credit restoration, budgeting, and coaching for agents that need encouragement and guidance. Nealy Homes has also formed a nonprofit organization called " Love Will Cover All" or LWCA. This program is to honor cancer patients in the fight by providing resources to help assist patients as they endure radiation and chemotherapy.

Who or what is your number one motivator and why?

My mother because she overcame so much in life and even in death.

If you can name one person that helped you get to where you are now, who would that person be and how did they help you?

Gail Vincent treated me like a millionaire when I had nothing but hurt and pain. Gail, not only was my realtor, but God sent her to help me rebuild my life.

If you could give a piece of advice to someone who aspires to become an entrepreneur, what would your advice be?

Believe in yourself first!! Don't wait on perfection, just do it with your heart and soul. Don't focus on money, but focus on treating people the way you would like your child or mother to be treated and the money will follow.
