We had the pleasure of interviewing our lovely Systems SME BOSS located in Dallas, Texas. Let’s see what she has to say!

Tell us about yourself!

I'm Nicolette Canady and I am the proud owner of Systems in Business. I hail from Dallas, Texas and I am a mother. I've been an entrepreneur since 2018. It started out as just wanting a side hustle; nothing more, nothing less. Over the years, I learned about different industries but they were not what I loved or wanted to establish a career in. I did, however, do well with the businesses that I started, but I wasn't fulfilled. Through my most recent business, I learned about automation and the importance of automating businesses. I was intrigued and started enhancing my knowledge and implementing what I learned into my very own business. Shortly thereafter, Adrienne Bean and I started Systems in Business and we have been rocking out ever since.

What is your profession? What do you do as an entrepreneur?

I'm a Systems SME (Subject Matter Expert). I assist entrepreneurs in saving time and money by implementing automation systems into their daily workflows.

Why did you choose the profession you are in?

When I first saw a video of someone detailing how to do automations I was in awe. It was invaluable, fun, and a game changer! It reminded me so much of my personality but in a business setting. I KNEW this is what I wanted and what I should be doing, career-wise. I would have the ability to help entrepreneurs who are intimidated or uneducated about the importance of systems and automations in business and that is what motivated me to establish Systems in Business, LLC.

Who or what is your number one motivator and why?

I'm motivated by and for change. To have more, to be better, and constantly improve is what truly drives me in all I do. If none of those things matter then what are you really doing it for?Simply put, changing lives is what inspires and motivates me.

If you can name one person that helped you get to where you are now, who would that person be and how did they help you?

My mother, Deborah Canady, has always shown me what could be done by being an example for me. At a young age, I would work for her and she would teach me office skill sets, including customer service. That skill set has always afforded me good positions within Corporate America, which in turn allowed me to transfer those skills to entrepreneurship.

If you could give a piece of advice to someone who aspires to become an entrepreneur, what would your advice be?

Make the decision and don't look back. DECIDE! Don't second guess yourself. Go all the way with it. Anything outside of your goal is a distraction.
